How to Make Comfrey Salve
When I lived in a house which had comfrey growing in the yard, I made comfrey salve. It is reputedly good for reducing swelling caused by bruises, sprains and boils. It is also an antiseptic. The Amish nearby used comfrey for a multitude of minor problems.
Things You'll Need:
Comfrey
Olive Oil
Beeswax
Metal tins

You will need equal parts of comfrey leaves, olive oil, and melted beeswax.

Chop comfrey leaves and add to olive oil. Warm over medium heat, but do not allow mixture to boil. Cover and let stand for 24 hours. Strain to remove the comfrey leaves. Add melted beeswax.

Spoon mixture into metal tins and cover with the tin lids. Store in cool place. Use an an antiseptic, on bruises, boils, and sprains.
Tips & Warnings
Mixture should, after beeswax cools, have the consistency of a salve.
Do not ingest.
